Balloons filled with helium

In our Mülheim-Holthausen branch we offer you various types and designs of balloons that can be filled with helium.

Latex-Balloons

Latex balloons are air-filled balloons made from natural rubber latex. They are flexible and stretchy, which allows them to be filled with helium gas. Helium is a light gas that flows into the balloon and gives it buoyancy.


Latex balloons filled with helium have the advantage that they can float. They rise because helium is lighter than air. This creates the floating effect that makes them popular decorative items at various events.


These balloons are available in different sizes, shapes and colors to offer different design options. They can be plain or have patterns, prints or personalized messages.

It is important to note that helium-filled latex balloons lose buoyancy over time as helium diffuses through the balloon. The balloons' ability to float may therefore decrease after some time.


When using helium-filled latex balloons, it is important to act in an environmentally conscious manner. Since latex is a natural product, the balloons decompose relatively quickly outdoors. However, care should be taken to ensure that they are disposed of properly to avoid environmental pollution.

Foil balloons

Foil balloons are airtight balloons made from a thin film, often plastic such as polyethylene. Unlike latex balloons, they can be filled with helium gas without the gas diffusing through the walls of the balloon.


These balloons are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and designs. For example, they can represent hearts, stars, letters, numbers, animal figures or even special themes and characters. The foil makes it possible to display complex shapes and details that would not be possible with latex balloons.


Foil balloons filled with helium have the same floating effect as latex balloons. The light helium gas gives them buoyancy and they float in the air. This makes them a popular choice for decorations at celebrations, birthdays, weddings and other events.


Another advantage of foil balloons is their longer shelf life compared to latex balloons. They maintain their shape and buoyancy for an extended period of time and can often remain floating for several days or even weeks, depending on the quality of the balloon and the amount of helium.


It is important to note that foil balloons are not biodegradable due to their materials. It is recommended to dispose of them properly to avoid environmental pollution. Some balloon shops or recycling facilities offer options for environmentally friendly disposal of foil balloons.
